Each year, the Nebraska Hospice and Palliative Care Partnership
recognizes Nebraska’s finest in hospice at the awards banquet of the
Annual “Living a Good Life…at the End of Life” Conference. This year’s
winners have been selected and will be recognized at the March 31
banquet at the Embassy Suites in Lincoln.

Heath G. Boddy has been selected to serve as executive director of the
Nebraska Health Care Association (NHCA), effective March 8. As
executive director of NHCA, Boddy will also lead the Nebraska Hospice
and Palliative Care Partnership (NHPCP) through a management contract.

Palliative Care Partnership, is seeking nominations
for its annual awards program. The awards will be presented at the
Association’s annual banquet. Held in conjunction with the Association’s Annual
“Living a Good Life…at the End of Life” Conference, the banquet is scheduled
for March 31, 2010, at the Embassy Suites in Lincoln.

The state’s hospice association, the Nebraska Hospice and Palliative Care Partnership (NHPCP), announces continuous growth in hospice admissions since 2001. The association’s members, who represent the majority of hospice providers in Nebraska, report 6,206 Nebraskans received hospice care in 2008 – up approximately 70 percent from 2001.
